I was coming home the other night and was held up by tunnel cleaning.
I've never really thought about this before but it turns out all the tunnels are cleaned, even the Channel Tunnel. All the cars, buses, lorry's and trains pump out so much crap that the walls at a tunnel get caked in it. The problem is once it dries out it all starts blowing around its hard to see. Think of it like a greasy flog. So they all need a cleaning regularly.
It's strange to think that there's a group of people out there spending their entire night just driving through tunnels cleaning them.
