So there I was sat on my computer chair, on the computer and minding my own business and I could hear this weird scraping noise. I thought it was coming from under the floor boards or in the wall cavity, and at one point I even bent down to listen. Because it is quite noisy I turned off my (new) fan to make the noise clearer, and then got off the chair to investigate, and creepily the scraping noise had just suddenly stopped.

Now, our street had a rat infestation last year, and so I immediately thought that the clever little bastards were back to torment us again. This went on for two days, and I was scratching my head, totally baffled, trying to work out where the noise was coming from. Wondering what damage the rat/s might be doing, and I even thought at one point that when I turned the fan off to listen, the rat understood that I knew it was there and that's why it stopped gnawing so it didn't give away its hiding place.

Anyway, so a few days later I went out the room with the fan still on and when I came back I noticed a small white safety label wildly blowing about under the seat of my computer chair, and it was making a weird scraping noise that was oddly familiar... :D
