I created this thread as there was no way to respond to your previous post.
The issue cannot be resolved with ad blocker, and the fact that replies were not enabled, has meant it's been harder to get your attention to state this. You know that things online are not always so straight forward, leaving replies open would be the easiest way to get to the bottom of the matter. While I understand that you're busy and having to go through to the owner about this, it's probably as frustrating for you as it is for us, we need to keep lines for communication open.
The owner should realise that it's not even an acceptable request to just block ads. As anyone new coming here wishing to join will see these and the first impression will be that this is just like the sister site www.ukchat.co.uk, where people are often directed to if posting innappropriate material here. They will get the impression that this sort of thing is allowed here, and seems to be the case, as I've seen even more people being re directed since. Also more pms that would be suited to the other site.
Please speak to the owner again, and ask on behalf of us all,to avoid any confusion and REMOVE the advert pages, or at the very least change the content of the advertisements on them.
Thank you

I'm aware it happens at the other site, has done for some time, without it needing to be done here, no-one says anything as the content is more appropriate for there. At least with ads of things that you have been viewing, you know exactly what stuff that will be, and can make sure it's not xxx rated. It just seems inappropriate to have that content linked with what is supposed to be a clean chat space. Sending chatters off for innappropriate content, yet having that showing as they log in, as the other site does is going to be misleading. If the site can stay free with ad revenue, it surely could be something more appropriate to a clean site, there were ads on it before that ad blocker does work with, so we did have the choice not to see those, if we wished. The post was closed for replies as there wasn't any need for further discussion at that time.
I have spoken with the site owner again today and the pop up tab is here to stay. I put forward the comments and reasons chatters don't like it. There is no obligation to click on it, simply close the tab. This happens at the other UK site and always has done and nobody ever mentions it. As to the content of the ads, that is his decision, not mine and as he owns the site he decides. If not opened, what does it matter what content the ads are ? Both UK sites are free only because there is advertising on them. Without ad revenue then chatters would need to pay and I doubt many would be prepared to do that. Ads are are on practically every social media site that is free, Facebook etc and they also track your site visits too. Go look at stuff on ebay and then log into Facebook and you'll see ads there for the products you've just been viewing.
Please just close the tab and carry on as you have always done.
Thanks
The content of the tab that appears when signing in, can only be seen if it is clicked open. As I said, simply close it down please if you do not wish to see the ad tab.I'm aware it happens at the other site, has done for some time, without it needing to be done here, no-one says anything as the content is more appropriate for there. Clearly the owner doesn't see this kind of logic.
Thanks for your attempts with getting him to see our point of view. I guessed it would fall on deaf ears, but I had to try.
A window is a tab. Simply close it please.the porn is NOT in a hidden tab it opens a other windows that hide behind the normal window that i have opened.
i was told that the pornsite pop up are here to stay as it generates revenue to keep the site open - disgusting@elwoodbluz1966
