I'm loving those anti-lockdown protests in the southern states of the U.S. All the pick up trucks, station wagons SUV's displaying stars and stripes flags, Some carrying guns (is it easy to get a permit to carry a gun in a public place?)
I'd love to see something like that over here (minus the guns!) You can't sit on the beach or a park bench without getting moved on by the police. Why are we so meek in this country and so easy led? we readily accept and applaud the propaganda videos of the public clapping, of videos of nurses doing dance routines in hospital, (while people are dying of cancer because their treatment has been delayed), It's disrespectful, either see to the patients or go home, but If you speak out you're practically regarded as an enemy of the state! It's getting to the point that you can't have an opposing view. We're being told how to behave, how to think, they'll be telling us what newspapers we can read next, well, that's how Nazi Germany started!

If you like it that much, why not consider moving to The States … once you get the all-clear to emigrate, that is!!!???

Or, were you being deliberately provocative and plainly venting your misguided frustration?

Yes. Really great to see the spirit of gun-totin' ungratefulness still very much alive in the States long after the colonists led the way in this same fashion!

I'm just voicing an opinion old bean, while I'm still allowed to do so. ;) I did consider moving to the U.S some time ago, I do have a work qualification that is recognised in the U.S. Unfortunately, I also have a 20 year old conditional discharge which bars me from just entering the country without all the palaver of applying for a visa. So on balance it was a no no, and yes, I am venting my frustrations on here, hopefully not causing offence to anyone in the process.

I have very mixed feelings about how the Lockdown has been policed. For the vast majority of us, we're just not used to seeing strong-arm tactics employed by the Boys in Blue on our streets. In fact, it's quite a novelty to see any on our streets full stop! The kind of over-zealous application of the rules we've all read about in the media DOES worry me. On too many occasions for my liking, the Police seem to often be using the same tactics they use to round-up troublemakers in our city centres on a weekend evening or at a football match. Maybe they're using a sledgehammer to crack a nut, I don't know. But it just feels alien to most of us. As for having a contre-view on things, I think Brexit showed us that many people nowadays have no appetite for proper, considered debate. Everything is black n white now, there are no shades of grey. Everything is polarised. It's "My Way" or the highway. Whatever happened to tolerance of each other's views, and a willingness to just LISTEN? That's the saddest thing for me about the UK today.

What really got me was when some chief constable said the police will be going through your shopping trolley to make sure you've only bought essential items, they later back-tracked, but just the thought of it.

Was this the same Chief Constable that spied upon harmless walkers with drones and fouled a lake at a beauty spot with black die to discourage visitors.
Where do they find them?
He has resigned, after investigation for odd behaviour.

Protesters are now being arrested for opposing the draconian like measures that this government has taken, and i believe any government would have taken if in the same boat. Piers Corbyn, Jeremy's brother, was arrested for protesting against the lockdown, and also 5G. I've found that any opposing views on different social media platforms, have been silenced and taken off when discussing these topics. It really is turning into the thought Police squad. It's rather worrying really. 1984 wasn't supposed to be an instruction manual lol.

There are even questions about whether the lockdown is illegal, and breaches the human rights act of 1998, that sets in place our freedoms and liberties.

Once this is all said and done, i don't think we'll hear the last about this. The way the Police have handled their new found powers have not only been disturbing, but also grotesque. You'll find there is very little faith in our Police service after all this has come and pass.

One thing the Americans got right is that they have a full written constitution put in place to make tyrannical governments think twice about using draconian measures against the people. Having your second amendment in place means you have the defence mechanism to defend yourself and your family from being dragged out of your homes by the Police. This has happened in New Zealand where people who have been suspected to have Covid-19, are being dragged out of their homes. This never used to be the case because they had the right to bare arms.

The lockdown is legal, fines for not adhering to it are not according to the Polices own documentation.
The UK has a written constitution, its called the Magna Carta, which Blair tried to mangle with constitutional changes like the formation of an EU style Supreme court rather than the Law Lords.
We have a legal system in this country that simply states "Everything is permissible unless its limited by Law".
We dont need a bill of rights, they are "Inalienable", is in the ability to do anything not prohibited is allowed.
UK Law is based solely on precedent.

All you got to read is: "Agenda 2030; An Imminent Danger: They are coming for your food & meat by Ella Cruz" and then it will make sense why we are in our current situation. Freedom of speech is a thing of the past, every so called conspiracy theory is closely being stamped on over the airwaves. The people like myself who even bring up the Agenda of the likes of the BAMGF get told we are whack jobs but the reality is people are waking up and I am glad to see that this site did actually have some people with brains rather than the usual idiots trolling for sexual release. Keep asking why, keep protesting because NO human on this planet has the right to play GOD, no one.

It's all very well moaning about your perceived loss of freedom but...what choice was there between isolation and herd immunity?

Herd immunity by the way is only effective long term if those that are showing milder forms of symptoms are allowed to then be exposed to others so that that they are able to build widespread immunity naturally. Basically what Sweden has allowed. Isolating only those showing severe symptoms.
My concern with this mass lockdown is that many of us now have weakened immune systems (referring to those that live in built up areas in cities, those older who were told to stay home, not to go outside) so that when finally we are allowed to socialise we will be put at an increased risk of illness. Especially is my concern for those with compromised immune systems already before the lockdown.
Anyway the following men definitely are far wiser than I on this topic that we are currently going through: Robert F. Kennedy Jr, Dr Scott W. Scott and Dr Buttar. All these men have NO AGENDA other than to ensure we are all informed with the TRUTH not what mass media is telling us and making so many unnecessarily paranoid to catch something that really isn't what it seems.

NO human on this planet has the right to play GOD, no one.

I would be interested to know if that includes the 'advancement' of the human species using scientific technology.
That would include drugs (including palliative and chemotherapeutic drugs); transplantation of organs, in fact all operations; clinical decision-making regarding euthanasia in all its variant; IVF treatment and ANY transference of biological tissue from one person to another.
None of these processes are naturally-occurring. They are manmade.
So, essentially humans DO 'play God' in that they do use science to further human existence.
Then we have moral dilemma in what we consider to be ethical or not.
It is a never-ending situation.

Good point made and one of the big reasons I walked away from being in the health industry. However is it not odd that someone with no formal eduction in the health industry now has shares in so much of the decision making in OUR health including provision of vaccines is a tad odd? Not just that but that a person who was involved in technology turns interests toward the agricultural industry as well? Maybe this so called good person thinks he is God and needs to make decisions for the rest of us on this planet without our individual consent taking away our autonomy? All I can say if whatever this current Agenda is does go to fruition whatever the outcome will be won't be positive for any of us including those with the power.

Mandatory vaccinations are already being discussed. Don't want it? Fine, they'll stop you from travelling and going back to daily life. Now that's control and playing God. Bill Gates has talked about this recently. Him and his wife have an organisation called the Bill and Melinda Gates Foundation.

Yes I just signed where I live that I am NoT approving anything mandatory so lets see how that is going to affect my life but I am strongly against being coerced into something that potentially could harm not just me but masses of people. I refuse to allow the power hungry and super rich stamp on myself or anyone I care about for their own megalomaniac endeavours. Enough is enough and as a collective globally we can cause change rather than stand by and let what is happening continue to no good conclusion.

Bill Gates is a guy who talked about population control a few years ago. Now a multi-billionaire(104.8 billion according to Google) with that much power and influence over people's lives, concerns me.
