I see an advert online when I am on you tube. It's from age concern UK or whatever. Now what it shows is some old dude aged 76 or something saying he was living off baked bean and bread and oats but he was too poor to heat the oats up. Age concern then says he rang them and they sorted out what he's entitled too and he's ok now. Please donate to help people like him.
There are a few issues here
If someone who is living in a first world country can only eat beans and bread and can't afford to heat his oats up surely rather than donating to someone I should be asking my country " What the **** is going on ".
Also have you noticed they don't say how much they need. They just say donate. So how much money does it take for this man to ring someone ? He's only calling someone up. Can one person answer the phone to this rare phenomenon of someone eating only beans and bread ? What happens to all the excess money donated ? where does it go ? What is this weird thing of setting up a charity of someone answering a phone to someone and asking for all this money to do it ?
Also why doesn't he call the benefits office which is funded by the taxpayer ? Ain't that their Job to sort out his benefits ? If he can call age UK to sort it then why doesn't he call the benefits office instead ? It's their Job.
Charity scam.
