Reform Party appreciation thread

So how do I feel about a possible land slide victory for Reform, in the local elections? I wasn't able to vote yesterday, because I didn't have the relevant identity papers. Was it a subconscious oversight on my part, or just plain incompetence? More the latter than the former!

I have had reservations about Reform for quite a while. My local candidate for the party at last years election, was a former Tory party member. This seems to be the case, with a lot of Reform candidates. This makes me anxious, I really don't want the Tories to get in again, via the back door.

However, I want to see where this is going to lead, will Reform be just the medicine our ailing country needs? I guess we will find out in due course.

Reform is a pack of disaffected Tories at best and assorted racists at worst. Probably a mix of the two. Not good. In fact, the worst thing that can happen to this country. This is what happens when the usual suspects take no notice of the average person: a vacuum is created and some of the worst people fill it.

As I said above, if there is any working class person out there who thinks Reform have their best interests at heart, what a shock they are in for. Just another pack of Tories (in the event you're being kind).

Overturning a mammoth 14,600 majority in Runcorn and Helsby, irrespective of political views, was some achievement by Reform and remarkable considering it is so early in Labours five year term, but what on earth did Starmer's Labour expect?

A WFA cap that Age UK has said pushed 2.5 million OAPs into further poverty, PIP cuts and PIP rule changes that will redefine disability and chronic sickness affecting up to 1.6 million including associated parachute benefits. Raising the social housing rent cap above inflation for ten years when 17% of households, 4 million, are social housing tenants. Refusing to lift the 2-child benefit cap that will instantly lift 400,000 children out of poverty, etc.

To put those figures in context, only 10 million voted Labour into power, and so why on earth would a political party purposefully alienate millions of voters so soon after taking power?

Runcorn and Helsby is among the most deprived wards in the UK, 1 in 4 children live in poverty, and so did this arrogant Labour regime really expect local voters to get down on a bendeth knee and doff their caps in subservience and vote for more of the same?

As PIP and associated parachute benefit cuts kick in over the next few years, local economies all over the UK, in deprived (austerity) local high streets, will suffer the dire consequences. A few cold winters between now and 2029 will be catastrophic for Labour if excess winter deaths rise and it just ain't gonna get better for millions of voters...

Starmer and his henchman Morgan McSweeney can't spin their way out of this one with their focus group colour boards and vacuous, inane, "change" slogans.

I loathe Farage, a grifter just like Starmer, just like Badenoch and just like the rest of the shower of sh**, but ironically he does support proportional representation and in my opinion PR is the only option that will ensure a fairer political system that is more representative and which gives a real voice to all voters and whatever their political ideology.

The working class have always voted Torie, now they vote reform. Kemi Badenoch will never be PM: she a first generation immigrant.
So who's left? Reform.

Maybe it's a north/south thing, but up here the Tories were always despised by the working classes. Being from a mining village in County Durham, I'd always assumed it was the same all over the country in every working class community but maybe not. Maybe working class people in southern England have a long history of voting Tory. 'Couldn't say as not from that part of the world, but it is very surprising to someone like me.

Labour and conservatives both made empty promises to get voted.and once in then went back on their promiises and stabbing people in the back. People can't make comment about Reform yet as they have not yet been given the chance to prove to the people yet but the two previous have evidentially shown they did not follow through with what they said .

Well, this is the idiocy of people who make accusations, while having no idea what they're talking about, in an attempt avoid the point:

1) I've never been a member of any union in my life.

2) I'm very much a 'normal worker'.

3) Farage is a monumental tit. When he sits down with his pals for a bite to eat, he sits down with his ilk, aka Sainsbury gaffers and the like who are miking the average man on the street. He's not sitting down with working class people when he has the choice of choosing his pals. Work it out for yourself, brains. It's not going to end well. Farage is a Tory in a slightly different dress, and those are the people he is going to serve. You're a useful idiot for Farage.

4) I can't abide this Labour Party. If there is one thing you can say in defence of the Tories it is: at least they have more or less unwavering principles. Unlike today's Labour Party. They're for sale to the highest bidder.
