Well that's a stroke of luck for me because I don't live in the 12th century so I am guessing that makes me safe phew.

You however sound like you are part of the quantum realm displaying the results of a delayed choice eraser experiment. That sounds a bit like an assassin as well doesn't it ? Well its not but If you haven't heard of that before don't look it up as that's a rabbit hole you do not want to go down.

Basically though it means the choices you are doing today is affecting what you are doing in the past and seeing as that is nearly 1000 years ago you better make the right decisions today as too much is on your shoulders now to get it wrong.
