When's a drill a driver?

My old work drill like the rest of me seen better days......so I've had to get a replacement



These were on a deal down at scewfix for £200 and I picked them up today.

There ok for home use and a bit of diy......but I could never use this set for work. They wouldn't take it and soon break.

And I think that's what I'm seeing with big name brands like milwaukee. The work tools are 3 times the price of these. It looks like they know people only really need a drill for home and use them once a year.

I remember father once turning the house upside down searching for the key to his drill, could he find it. We were all being blamed for taking it, what would we want with it! After a few hours to get out of the way mother took us out for the day. An orange Black and Decker type I think it was... In those days to lock the drill bit in place you had to tighten it up with a special key. Drills these days have clearly come a long way... cordless.. and keyless!
