will air on @ITV1 at 9pm on Mon 19, Tues 20 and Wed 21 Feb.

Based on Dr Rachel Clarke's diary.

''The series has been 3 years in the making. We had one simple aim: to show the reality of what unfolded inside our NHS hospitals. Authentically, truthfully, accurately. The gulf between the reality we experienced & what the public were told was immense. And the truth matters.'' - Dr Rachel Clarke

BREATHTAKING

Next week. Part 1, on ITV1 at 9pm. Also parts 2 and 3, Tuesday and Wednesday.

TV series based on the diaries of Dr Rachel Clarke, a palliative care doctor.

This, ultimately, is what it was all about.

Covid. 230k people who were never, ever, reducible to a herd - but fathers, mothers, husbands, wives, colleagues, sons, daughters, friends.

850 of those who died were frontline NHS & care staff - who gave their lives trying to save others.

quote Dr Rachel Clarke ''Please watch BREATHTAKING if you feel able - though I understand it may feel too painful for some of you. Doing so, I hope, is an act of bearing witness. Of honouring those who died & remembering their sacrifice. I only hope we have done justice to NHS experiences.''

Thanks Wales, looking forward to the documentary.
Governments have to accept that they fecked up.

They won't, they will PR the sh** out of it, but looking forward to the program.

Lets just hope it brings to light the government handling of the pandemic the same way the recent royal mail documentary has with a debacle that lasted over 20 years.

Part 2 will air on @ITV1 at 9pm tonight.
'Extraordinary series. I give my eternal thanks to all in the NHS for their courage And my utter contempt for those in government Partying, loathsome, lying, grubby politicians who handed billions of pounds to donors & cronies for faulty PPE' - Carol Vorderman

Tonight, 9pm, ITV1

'Breathtaking' is based on the book by palliative care doctor, Rachel Clarke. It's a harrowing account of the real-life emergencies NHS staff faced in the pandemic.

Not only is the government not prepared for a next pandemic, they're still failing staff now.' - Dr Rachel Clarke

'I was at work when a nurse colleague came in sick. We had no FFP3 masks. She was in her 30s, scared, had kids at home and could not breathe. A day later a doctor came in sick. The nurse recovered. The doctor died on ITU. Don't tell me we didn't risk our lives. We are not liars.' - Doctor M, Emergency Medicine

Tonight, 9pm - the finale of 'Breathtaking' it's winter 2020 & even as Covid rips through the country, the Covid deniers & 'scamdemic' warriors are out in force.

Please watch if you can.

Please don't look away.

The truth matters - & never more than in a pandemic.
