Do you think every new thread should have a poll included so as to gauge the viewpoint of people reading the thread?
Do you also think that alternatives to Yes or No responses be included in the poll?
And finally, do you think that anyone takes any notice of Forum polls?

Probably.

We know that polls are a tool to persuade opinion. Someone may have thought of something else, see a poll and the result, but then switch to the popular viewpoint. That's not always the case, but more times then not i believe it happens.

The best poll I ever saw on this forum was a couple of years ago. It asked 'Who will win the champions league?'. A number of teams were listed who you could pick, except the eventual winners Liverpool, they were not on the list.
