Interesting threads :D and you might think this is yet another old white dog poo thread, I couldn't possibly comment. :)
Car aerials I'm struggling to remember the last car I had that had one... Are they all built-in these days? But what got me thinking about this was being parked in Asda this morning, and the car alongside was using a twisted metal coat hanger for an aerial!

Anything else you rarely see these days?...

Lucky Tatties.

The Lucky Tattie is a type of traditional sweet made in Scotland. It had a white fondant solid centre flavoured with cassia, and steamed and covered with cinnamon powder. The tattie used to contain a small plastic lucky charm in the centre (like a tiny animal or toy), hence the lucky. Might still find them without the charm - Health and Safety would probably not allow.

Police arresting someone for committing a crime.
Now, now. Only the other day the police arrested some chap who was trying to get to work for removing 'Just stop oil' protesters from the road.

Integrity.
Another word we have lost.

To be fair, I have a weakness for words.
Chesterton said it "Angels can fly because they take themselves lightly"
We take ourselves to seriously
As Stephen Fry said "There are many who want to be right, rather than be effective".
(Paraphrasing his great debate argument.)

When did they stop putting CD players in cars?
I was out with a friend in her car last night. When we got there, she pulled the front of her CD player off and put it in her bag. It brought back
forgotten memories of removing the front so no one would bother trying to nick your CD player. :) These days I listen to DAB radio or shove in a USB stick. :(

I'm reminded of the time I went to Anfield many years ago. Implying that the Scousers would be breaking into their parked cars, the West Ham
fans were singing "We've got Paulo Di Canio, you've got our stereos." Great banter in those days. :)
