Samsung S10 Lite .....

Stopped charging with it's normal fast charger so i bought a new Plug and Wire (Original Samsung).

This didn't work all i get is USB device not recognized message

I have tried various other Samsung chargers with no success at all ,

Sometimes i get the USB message and mostly i get nothing ....

If i plug in a Pound shop wire and USB plug it slow charges just fine !!!

What is going on ?

The phone is 2 years old , Fast Charging is selected in the options and i have reset data and cache for the USB port in the System apps ,

Charger type is "C" to "C" i have also tried USB to "C" chargers.

Thanks in advance.

Oh I've seen that too.

You mite try running an update on the phone. I have a feeling it mite be something simple like a dirty port. I use the car clearing attachments on my shark vac for mine.

You can find keyboard cleaning tools online

All I can say is, give the phone a good clean and see how you get on.
Yeah i tried the cleaning thing as it's what ppl suggested on other Forums but it didn't make a difference ,

Also the phone is fully updated ...

It seems like the battery. They only last 2-3 years. You could try running the battery right down and then recharging it. I have a feeling you mite just have to replace battery all together

Unless you got it wet or drop it, I cant think of any other reason for this.
The phone is telling me the battery is fine on the diagnostic check and don't forget it still charges fine with a cheap wire and plug ,

Never been dropped or got wet or anything like that , the phone operates perfectly ,

It's really confusing tbh

Well.... we tick off:

port
cable
charger
battery
software

The only thing left is a software reporting error

I'm not sure how long the phone normally takes to charge. Next time you do, time it and compare with Samsungs.

The Samsung chargers will not work , i get the USB device not supported message or nothing at all ,

Plugged into a cheap wire it slow charges only.

Like i said the phone still works and slow charges , it's just baffling me.

Ok try the above app or roll the phone back

This problem only seems to effect contract phones, not sim free.

I'd sell it on and get a new one.

The phones worth about £130-200

A new

Samsung Galaxy A13 Smartphone, Android, 6.6”, 4G, SIM Free, 64GB is only £180

I don't need a new phone as I have another ,
I just wanted to fix the issue I don't like things unresolved ,
Plus I wouldn't sell the phone while it has an issue

This is the message I get

Is rolling back possible or not ?

I just do not buy that a multi million pound company like Samsung would screw with ppl's products just because they are out of contract with some software update ,

If they did they wouldn't do something as petty as stopping fast charging which is just annoying but doesn't stop anyone using the phone as it functions correctly ,

That would be like screwing with ppl for the hell of it , i personally think a company like Samsung would have bigger goals if i'm honest .....

Sorry to butt in...I gather you have rebooted the phone...
Daft question but sometimes little things are the solution
Please ignore if you have done this obvious thing...
