So, we considered the flow of time in the last part, and how snapshots of time can be used to show things that we can't see, nor even comprehend at times, and how this was used from a simple horse gallop originally, to prove that the feet did in fact leave the ground. Now we use that technology to measure chemical reactions, and measure changes in the atomic bonds between the molecules or elements involved.

We also considered that there are other creatures that can perceive things that we can't - that we're not the elite in these fields. That we have limits, which mean we have limits to our understanding. We simply can't always believe what we see, as it would be only part of the picture we're seeing, if any at all.

So this can give us a false sense of what really is happening in situations, and allows for errors to occur in that we don't foresee things that we think are simple, until some issue occurs that alerts us to something else going on.

Well, it is this that leads to the angle of how we are blinded to the flow of time, because we are also blind to see how things change when the measurement of time is slowed down, as in the time-lapse photography demonstrating how a plant grows. When watched, one will quickly realise that no, that plant is not static. What the problem is, is we don't have the capability to sit down and stare at it long enough to watch it happen. "It's like watching grass grow" is an expression we use to relate the feeling of boredom. It is not a human concept, generally speaking, to sit down and watch the grass grow.

In fact, we have a normal cycle of waking up, being busy, then resting and sleeping. The whole world does it. We are naturally vulnerable for 1/3 of our days when we simply are not here, but off in dreamland.

It is THIS blindness that is causing people to not see "the last days".

"Oh, but the "last days" have been spoken of for a long time", and indeed that is the case. So we need to consider WHAT is this "last days"? Is it, or was it the SAME "last days" as spoken of before, and what happens AFTER it? Before we lift the blindfold on this one a little, by way of another topic, we're going to look at these "last days". Why? Why are we not going to answer the problem now? Because THIS is another form of blindness that us humans have, in that we wish to tangentialise, and it sets off a course of chasing one's tail, instead of learning the point. People consider it like "watching the grass grow", and instead look for four-leaf clovers as such. In other words, we're focussing on this point of being blinded as to this last days. It is our attention spans, or our laxadaisy attitudes that blind us to important things. So we're going to focus on this first, in the next part.

Here are some last-day prophecies that we will consider in the next article on this series:

1) The prophet Daniel was waiting for a prophecy to happen - namely 70 years of Babylonian captivity. He'd read it in the scrolls of Jeremiah.
2) The angel Gabriel told Daniel what was to happen in "the final part of the days". (Daniel 10:14)
3) Isaiah had prophecied something happening in "the final part of the days" too. (Isaiah 2:2-4)
4) What unique information did Jesus state about "the conclusion of the system of things"? (Matthew 24:3)
5) And how did the apostle John show more detail about what happens in the last days. (Revelation 1:1)

Then we will consider how what John states and what Daniel states are one and the same things, with different layers of detail.
After we've done this, we'll discuss how people are blind to what is happening, even though it is right under their faces.
Then maybe, but not definitely, we'll consider the terms of "the last days" of the past, and whether they all meant the same thing.

For the meantime, here's a video of Daniel's early life that you might enjoy. Just the first part. You'll have to look for the second.
