The questions I ask myself when seeing something new and the in thing is :
1] Do I need it.?
2] Will I use it?
3] Can I justify spending that much money [I can afford too]
4] Will it need more money spend on it after I brought it.

so think before you buy.

I think it's a giant waste of money personally, especially during these trying times where life is going to get even tougher for a lot of people due to the pandemic. But you're free to do what you want, so you should decide if you want to buy it or not.
