Restrictions for newbies?

I was just wandering how long restrictions last for us newbies. I have been here 3 months + and want to change my profile pic. Can anyone in admin advise me please. Thanking you in advance.

I'm not sure if it is a question of longevity or more a question of activity. Post a few things, get involved in chat and the forums, the more and more options seem to open up...

Seems to me there is a glut of forum users desperate to break free of the restrictions, then a rapid decline back to the regular forum users.
Maybe the forums just ain't where it's at?

I rejoined nearly a month ago and have been allowed today to put a pic up so no idea why for you when you have been here three months
