War in the Pacific was never ending ,killing tens of thousands of troops .Towards the end it was obvious that America would win ,as they attacked the Mainland Japan. The problem was it was going to claim many many deaths on each side and months of fighting for inch to inch of ground. The people of Japan held their leader as a God and were prepared to die for him. It was nasty.
The results of a secret weapon were still not fully known but after one test it was used in the fight. Just one bomb on Hiroshima and one on Nagasaki brought a rapid surrender by Japan and an end to the War in the Pacific. Just ONE bomb basically !
This Virus we are fighting is on the same level as that war. It doesn`t give any quarter and it`s killing millions of people Worldwide. Anything to reduce it`s power is welcome and the Vaccine is doing just that ,without years of tests which we don`t have time for . We want to beat this thing NOW and perfect the process as we gain more knowledge. Our Scientists are not out there making a quick buck at the expense of the public . They are throwing everything at their research i`m sure .
I`m sure that one day the Vaccines will be honed to perfection and nobody will die from side affects or the Virus !

The bomber cost more than the bomb and took longer to develop. Boeing B-29 Superfortress killed 100's of thousands before dropping 2 nuclear bombs.

In about 6 weeks the winter will start in the UK....this will be the real test for covid vaccine's. If the new South African variant takes hold it & current vaccines fail..... it will mean another winter of lockdowns.
