Plug in ceiling fans

I was poking around ebay last nite and saw this.

You can now buy plug in ceiling fans for round £15. There a few different designs too. They all come with remote controls.

They're all E27 light fittings so you need to spend another £5 on a converter to out bayonet fittings

Are they worth it?

Hmmm... I think these work better in the winter. By mixing up the air in the room these do help with comfort heating. In the summer you need all the fans you can get.

I've put one on order and I'll let you know how I get on ;)

This came in today. Its not too shabby. 6 inch fan blowing down and is cooling the room better than my desk fan. The lights dimmable using the remote control.

I think that was well worth the £20 :cool:

I've been looking at these online today again. I will order more of them for other bedrooms in the house.

But not the cheap £20 ones....
