A religious anti-vaxxer who is today loudly insisting that no one has the right to tell him what to do with his body, also firmly believes that women should not have the right to choose what they do with their bodies.

Simon Williams, whose social media profile is full of anti-vax memes and mixed in with strongly worded status updates about the ‘true nature of sin’ sees nothing wrong in holding a position where he is free to choose, but a woman is not.

He explained, “The situations are very different because a woman’s right to choose affects her and the life of another human being – so it’s a decision you shouldn’t be allowed to make – whereas my decision on taking the vaccine only affects me and the lives of all the other people I will interact with during the coming weeks and months – which is a decision I should be allowed to make. They’re very different, see?”

Meanwhile, non-morons have pointed out that vaccines are still entirely optional, and though most people would prefer he was vaccinated, no one is suggesting he get locked up for refusing, despite whatever this morning’s meme told him.

Williams is also concerned that his non-vaccinated status could see him treated like a second-class citizen.

He went on, “We have to make sure companies aren’t free to pick and choose who they serve, and allowed to treat certain sections of society differently just because of their perfectly legal lifestyle choices. They should serve everyone, equally. Well, unless you are a Christian baker and someone wants you to bake a gay cake – you can say ‘no’ then, obviously. But that’s different.

“Anyway, the government should make some new laws to tell businesses exactly how they should and shouldn’t behave – because otherwise before you know this county will be like all those other communist ones.”
