Boy in a cloak.
I saw a boy in a cloak on a boat
Heading out to sea.
The wind was cruel, the waters rough
And the boat was running free
The cloak was red, and brightly so
That draped his lean body
But the wind was cold, the waters iced
I thought, ‘ him more than me.’
Rather him than me, I mused
As the boat went off to lee
Behind a billow, swollen large
That was all that I could see.
And then I saw, a dreadful sight
The waves were bringing me,
A cloak, a bright red cloak
Floating in the sea.
Emptily it filled and surged and drift
As it danced to the waves
Of the sea.
