Physical records of a person’s right to be in the UK are being phased out and replaced by eVisas. The government will "allow biometric residence permits or EU settlement scheme biometric residence cards that expire on or after 31 December to be accepted as valid evidence of permission to travel until 31 March 2025".

I'm not too sure how this is going to work. I feel this will be a common sight at airports over the summer after a 6 year old hacks the system

The move doesn't apply to a traditional passport, which people will still need to enter the country.

When you start thinking about booking your holiday for next summer, you mite want to pre book a place in the queue too. You just know you'll be stuck behind a family with 6 kids who cant speak a word of English but have live here 20 years trying to get thru boarder control ;)
