Labour win

I see the Labour win being a rather puzzling one. I know the Conservatives didn't deliver what they said in 14 years but why do people expect voting labour to bring different results when they are all for five more years of similar pledges such as support for Zelensky. Constant house building. Social housing for asylum seekers.
on the first day in Labour's Mrs Reeves stated there's not a huge amount of money. reminds me of the no magic Money tree from Conservative Theresa May. Labours Manifesto is promising 1.5million homes to be built similar to the conservatives pledge of 300,000 homes a year under Conservatives.
Those who voted Labour have effectively voted for the Conservatives in Red. The mind boggles. Turkeys voting for Christmas.

What really worries me is most of them never had a real job.

Yvette Cooper (Mrs Balls, yes that really is her married name) never worked outside politics. Rachel Reeves and David Lammy are much the same. All 3 are from London.

Shabana Mahmood, Liz Kendall and Peter Kyle again never had jobs too.

I've not look at the rest yet, but I feel there much the same.

Right now we have a government of "woke" champagne socialists. I think the best way to describe them is a bunch of uni students in a common room at Cambridge playing socialist.

I'd like to think they would do more for people on a low income, but there no money left after the pandemic. It will take 20 years to repay that. They will spend money on supporting those "new" to the UK and I feel this new government will polarize the country even more. They want closer ties with the EU and they wont deal with immigration issues.

Europe's heading towards war, the right on the rise again this all feels a bit 1936...... and this is the government we have

I agree that Europe is heading towards war....a civil war. I hate to say it but all this immigration may well mean a repeat of the last World War. The situation in Gaza was a factor in areas with a high Muslim population. This will have caused a lot of anger among the British people. We have had all this forced on us and it is causing a lot of resentment. With a Labour government, it will get worse. The rise of the 'right' is the fault of the 'left'....imposing their own ideals on the rest of us.

The landslide literally. None of the challenges or how they go away will change. Whilst said war kicks off, More disruption from a change of incompetent inexperienced leadership. People are very sold by a puppet..its worrying. I cannot stand starmer his speech was shite. His patronising comments about Rishi. I turned him off he was that boring and insincere. Well out of his depth

I had 2 labour reps at my door begging for votes no conservative did that. I challenged them at my door they couldn't answer my questions. Just overtalked me saying it's important labour get in the UK needs change . Yes it does but not more disruption that makes the issues worse.

We'll find out if Labour will be good for the country but a change of government was needed. I just hope this isn't day 1 of the next 5 years of them blaming the Conservatives for there being no money to do the things they want to do.
I watched the choreographed procession of the 'changed Labour' MP's walking up downing street to see what cabinet jobs they were getting. Some couldn't take their eyes off all the photographers and TV cameras, completely blanking the policeman outside Number 10. Some gave him a smile and a nod, some even passed a few words with him. Told me a lot about their character. Perhaps I'm overthinking things. :)
Oh, and fair play to Labour's Jess Phillips, a woman I've never really cared much for, but the way she stood up to that baying mob while she was trying to make her victory speech... legend!

It isn't so much that Labour won as that the Tories lost. It had to be done, the country couldn't carry on as it was. I think they are well aware that they won by default, and many people are unhappy about the current situation.

Labour is a disaster.
They went for the Ming Vase policy.
As in don't say anything that will break the illusion of beauty.
They have terrible policies, I mean, lower the voting age to 16, really, thats only so they can secure more votes from the young.

It will get a lot worse.
The only reason Labour won is because the vote split between the other parties.
I mean Reform got more votes than the Lib dems, but only got 4 seats compared to 60 + for those Lib Dem idiots.

Theres no way Labour lost this election because it was a Feck you Tory election, thats all it was, people didnt actually think.

Now we have 5 years of complete idiocy.
Nationalisation of energy, yet in private partnership..
labour, private partnership, lmao.
killing off their own voter base yet no one read the manifesto, it was simple.
Ditch the Tories.
It worked really well, Labour said feck all.
Now they have the power to change the constitution, I worry.

And as well as more people claiming benefits resulting in higher taxes, there’s the challenge with more ppl meaning more competition for job-seekers.

It's just word salad babble.

I can't tolerate it, it claims to be a masters educated social scientist, and it knows sweet f/uck all about politics or economics other than lines it steals (parrots) from the media.

Eurgh.
So silly considering you do what?
Trowels?
Why can't you just leave be what you don't understand, silly sausage.

You want to debate politics, I am more than happy.
We can do it in PM so not to bore the poor people in the forum.

I do love a good argument.
So instead of grandstanding in chat, lets play directly, see how much fun we can have.
Or just stop with the accusations and bs.

Your tired old rhetoric of me being something only you think I am is getting old.
However, you will be happy, I am seriously thinking of just quitting chat, it's become boring and pointless.
People are to afraid to say what they think these days.

However I may just stay to be annoying.
