Time for a poem

- Can you see your life in this poem -

Painting the real picture in a lovely poem

Every morning the alarm rings, not to wake you up but to remind you, nothing has changed, the same ceiling, the same routine, the same quiet voice in your head asking if this is really it, you roll over, scroll, rush, commute, smile on command, tick boxes that mean nothing, come home drained, promise tomorrow will be different, then sleep just to do it all again, groundhog day dressed up as responsibility, comfort disguised as security, and slowly without realising it, you stop questioning it, you accept it, you live inside it.

There is a ceiling above you, not made of glass but habits, fear, routine, other people’s expectations, the belief that this is as far as you go, that wanting more is risky, that change is for other people, and here is the truth most avoid, the ceiling is only invisible because you have stopped looking up, you have stopped testing it, stopped pushing against it, stopped asking what happens if you break it.

Most people are not trapped, they are just conditioned, conditioned to settle, conditioned to survive instead of build, conditioned to repeat instead of create, and the scariest part is not failure, it is waking up ten years from now and realising nothing changed because you didn’t.

“You don’t lack time, you lack direction.”

“Comfort is the most expensive place you will ever choose to stay.”

“The life you want is on the other side of the patterns you refuse to break.”
