I believe they have departed on a volcanology sabbatical to study the Cumbre Vieja eruption. I'm hopeful they will bring back some rock to share with everyone. Yummy!

And while volcanologists and other specialists were volcanoing in La Palma, they were also struggling to come up with a viable plan how to rescue a group of stranded dogs in an abandoned yard, because helicopters couldn't operate safely in the dire conditions. Advanced drones were being mooted as a possible solution and were being used to drop food and water to the dogs in the meantime.

No doubt due to the publicity, an anonymous group calling themselves the A-Team, swiftly mounted a daring rescue by mapping an escape route, using a comparatively low-tech heat-seeking drone and leaving only a few footprints in the ash and a scrawled sign which read-

"Stay strong La Palma. The dogs are fine, ATeam".
