Officials from Guinness World Records are ready and waiting to see if the fledgling channel GB News can achieve the impossible and record negative viewer numbers.

Man-with-clipboard-small.jpg

Viewing figures dropped to zero briefly yesterday, following a boycott of the channel that heralds free speech and expression, after one of the presenters used his right to free speech and expression to take the knee; a move that was evidently the wrong type of free speech and expression.

“This is very exciting stuff,” Guinness World Records official Christopher James told us, clutching the trademark clipboard, pen and stopwatch often seen at such world-first events.

“To have achieved zero viewers is a remarkable feat in and of itself, especially in this age of digital streaming, and now we just wait to see if this can drop even lower into minus figures, which would surely be a first.”

He went on, “Admittedly, we’re not sure how this might work, statistically speaking – I suppose if they drop down to zero viewers again, and then the nation collectively closes their eyes and tries to erase any memory of footage from the channel since its launch, that will probably push it under zero.

“Or if anyone hasn’t had the misfortune to see footage from the channel, and solemnly vow NEVER to watch it, that will also count.

“So we can probably expect that to happen around lunchtime today.”

We approached Andrew Neil, the GB News founder and living embodiment of the concept of regret, for a comment on the viewing figures but he told us he’d never heard of ‘GB News’ before hopping on a flight back to France.

GB News must be different from the others if it's going to survive. Taking the knee on TV(did you see the female presenters face), which was made popular by BLM(an openly Marxist organisation, mentioned by their own founders) is only going to turn off viewers from your program, as it's not as popular in this country as people think because it's a foreign concept that is alien, and has been adopted over here. especially if you advertise yourself as an alternative product, yet do the same things that the others do.
Me personally, i don't think there was any desire for more news channels, as we know they all follow the same format and can't push the envelope in terms of delivery, meaning that they morph into another BBC or Channel 4 eventually.

GB News is a piece of nasty sh1t, owned, run by and mainly watched/enjoyed by far right turds. The sooner it flushes its way down the sewer pipe of life, and is confined to the a(n)nals of 'constipated bad mistakes' and forgotten about, the cleaner the UK will become. That is not who we are.

Here's to the prog stopping ASAP!

Dump it.

It's also extremely embarrassing. A few short weeks ago the usual suspects were claiming it had viewing figures on a par with the BBC and Sky and was doing very well. It was always going to fail once advertisers recognized it is trash and pulled the plug. Even better and hopefully, the narcissist Andrew Neil retires gracefully and we never see his grotesque brand of far-right politics on our TV screens again.

You really care don’t you Sam? lol
But you hate anything and anyone who isn’t as left as you so I shouldn’t be surprised. GBNews even has a segment dedicated to you, it’s called Woke Watch.
No GBNews isn’t perfect but any new channel has problems, and most of those advertisers who originally said they wouldn’t have their adverts shown have retracted their claims, the were initially forced to say they’d pull the plug by idiot like you, who had never even watched it.

You are correct @SamBally.

Gammon News is highly embarrassing. And is laughed at by any decent, factual news channel, news pundits, and news viewers. The same pundits, viewers wonder what the fvck has driven the UK to spew out such rubbish. But then again, you can see the calibre of 'staff'. It was never going to work. Andrew Neil was a huge mistake from the start. No wonder he has slunk away. Luckily, the UK is not Gammon central. The few pathetic souls that believe this is a 'real news' are in a lowly minority, thankfully. The viewing figures prove what a total disaster it is.

Gammons rot, inside and out, and GB news will rot away. Goodbye to bad rubbish.

Corrected it for you ;)

Although I do agree, GB news is terrible, but what do you expect when a bunch of BBC veterans get together to run a company where they actually have to find funding and make statements they don't agree with :)

I am laughing hysterically that the BBC is being described as "enjoyed by left-wing turds".

There is nothing remotely left-wing about the BBC, a common mistake people make because they confuse liberalism with the actual left wing. The BBC was one of the major news channels to churn out lie after lie regarding one Jeremy Corbyn.

Left-wing...

LOL!

''GB News audience figures subsequently fell further, with ratings by the end of June lower than the Welsh language dubbing of PAW Patrol on SC4.''

Andrew Neil suckled on the BBC teat for over 25 years and only left aged 72 when they indicated the gravy train was over. Andrew Neil became an extremely wealthy man sponging of the state-owned television network he claims he despises now.

Good riddance to the parasite.

BBC is left wing?

Ha Ha Ha Ha Ha

It's run by a friend of Johnson, who got him the top job. A top Tory!

Tim Davie.

eg: ''Davie stood as a councillor for the Conservative Party in Hammersmith in 1993 and 1994 and was deputy chairman of the Hammersmith and Fulham Conservative party in the 1990s.'' - WP

''In August 2020 Tim Davie announced his intention for the BBC to "find a better balance of satirical targets rather than constantly aiming jokes at the Tories." - WP

The BBC is a right wing / Tory mouth piece.

101% agree. Of course, those on the right rely on monstering anyone to the left of Thatcher because otherwise, they would have no platform at all.
