Ghastly sights

Picked the grandson up from nursery yesterday, and took him home. Cleaned him up and brushed his hair with his little comb, then sat him in front of CBeebies, as you do... I went back to put his comb away, and there, crawling along along the edge of the comb was a head lice... gruesome!

Any ghastly sights you've seen lately? Yet another thread from me you may very well be thinking, quite possibly!

A few days ago, i was staying in a guest house darn sarf. Woke up, pulled the duvet up to get out of bed as you do, only to be confronted by a truly frightening sight in front of me. Now I know what you might be thinking, but cleanse your mind ma'am. Bold as brass, lying aside my pillow was a HUGE spider, looking at me as if butter wouldn't melt! How dare he share my bed I thought to myself. After all, he hadn't chipped in with the cost. He must have slept with me all night. I shudder to think at where that spider might have gone while I was asleep.

One of my cats managed to get in the food bin and eat leftover cheesy pasta, which is not good for cats due to the dairy. He heaved it up outside- mostly undigested, with fur and bits of undigested cat food in it. I hadn't really taken much notice at the time- knew it would happen, as he'd raided the bin, but as he was outside in the garden when he chucked it up and I was working, I just got on with what I was doing and forgot about it.

We had a few warm days but I was busy, so didn't venture out into the garden until around the forth day and found the vomit on the astro-turf riddled with maggots!

I felt sick myself and had to close my eyes as I poured boiling water on them.
