Remember the old days (a few years ago) when anyone who fished was called a fisherman? but because of... well i'm not quite sure, we had to start saying
'fisher person'? It seems further changes are afoot! If their pronouns are they/them you must now refer to said person as 'fisher them'. o_O

I'm not sure who's worse, 'him' or the people who pander to him..they.. them..whatever! :)

I'm reminded or Orwell's masterpiece '1984' set in a dystopian future. If memory serves they wanted the English language reduced. The fewer words people have to express themselves the easier they can be controlled.
Take the word 'good' for example, we don't need 100s of synonyms all meaning the same thing. The one word would suffice, and if the word needed emphasising we would simply say 'plus good', or even 'double plus good'. And no need for words that mean the opposite, we could simply say 'ungood'. I'm sure we can get the English language down to 200 words... My forum friends, that dystopian future is not so far away...

When I was a bout 8 years old my Nan and I used to play a game.
"Birds, Beast, Flowers and Fish".
We went through the alphabet and had to name an animal that was both in the catagories and started with a letter.
No problem until I got to "F" where I got stuck with a fish that began with "F".
I thought about it, then it hit me and I was so proud.
I rang my Nan and told her, "I have a Fish that begins with F".
She asked me what it was.
I replied proudly.
"Its Folk".

She waited a minute than asked me how I had heard of this.

"Its in the bible" I replied.
"Jesus went fishing for folk".

She just chuckled and gave me the point.

I was so proud I had found a new word that made my Nan chuckle.
When she later explained to me why "Folk" wasnt really a fish, I learned that words matters.

Today, we are "Fishing for Folk" that can still understand that.
;)

Edit spelling sucks

Earlier today, I was rummaging around some charity shops with my partner. The last one on the charity shop crawl, was Oxfam. We happily mooched around for a while, and ended up buying a piece of tat - as you do.
I was gazing up at a shelf, and came across a sign which had the colours of a rainbow as a background. The sign said - we welcome he, she them they ect! I was absolutely fuming.
It is bad enough that we have to read about this nonsense every day in the media, but to have it shoved in your face in a charity shop, is too much to cope with. When are people going to come to their senses, and speak out against this nonsense.
I am going to kickstart this campaign, by rewording the sign. It should read - WE WELCOME EVERYONE.

Morons outraged after Storm Frank identifies as Storm Francesca

Storm Frank has angered morons by announcing it would like to be known as Storm Francesca, after admitting it had always identified as female.

Francesca said that the choice of ‘Frank’ as her name had always felt uncomfortable, and that inside she had always felt female.

The storm told us, “Me being ‘Frank’ was nothing more than a statistical anomaly – it took no account of who I am as a storm.

“Societal conventions tell us that being born with a boy’s name means you must be a boy, but it’s not that simple.

“I’ve always been Francesca inside, and now I’m relieved that everyone else will know me under that name.”

Not everyone has welcomed the change, with complete moron Stu Pidkhunt telling us, “This is stupid, how can a storm be a man one minute, and a woman the next?”

“Gender transition is something that makes me personally very uncomfortable, and as such it should definitely be banned and condemned in the strongest possible terms, obviously.”

However many of those within the path of Storm Francesca admitted that they couldn’t care less whether she identified as male or female.

As one Yorkshire resident explained, “Who cares? I certainly couldn’t care less – the storm’s gender doesn’t affect me one iota, and if the storm feels better for being Francesca instead of Frank, then go for it.”

Another told us, “This storm has cost me a fortune and looks like taking my house, so I’m just surprised it didn’t identify as my ex-wife.”

A number of charity shops are going 'inclusive'. I occasionally visit the 'Farplace animal rescue' charity shop and it is a huge place. it's on the site of what used to be a Carpetright warehouse so you can imagine how big it is... They support the welfare of animals and vegan issues, so they have a sign up saying they won't accept donations containing leather, fur etc, which is fair enough. But they also have a sign saying 'Proud to be LGBTQIAPK Friendly'. Is it my imagination, or are more and more letters being added to that acronym?

Each new letter added to that LGBTQIAPK acronym reduces the prospect of LGB people living free from discrimination or disadvantage. :(
