Tonight I will be carrying on a tradition here at Rooftop Towers which started in 2005, that every 5th of November, the movie 'V for Vendetta' has to be watched.

As there are no small children currently in the immediate family, probably for the 2nd time in my life, (last year the lockdown interfered) I will not be going to a bonfire and organising a firework display in the garden...which tbh I am happy about.
Instead, I will have a cosy night in, maybe catch up with a Netflix film or two.

I was working, but now getting things sorted for the weekend (cleaning & washing!). I have a relative coming to stay tomorrow and a family birthday, which I still need to buy a present for, so late evening cleaning and then I have to be out shopping for about 9am tomorrow morning.

Btw- Dr Who- a good choice! My favourite Doctor is Christopher Eccleston. Love that man!

I’m off work today and I’ve decided to have a very lazy day watching Doctor Who!

What are you doing today ?
Just out of interest, which of the 13 Doctor Whos did you end up watching? I'd like to know which one, or the several, you binged on.

It was Peter Capaldi.

Today I’m off so I might go for a cycle and then continue my binge because I had stopped watching Dr Who when Matt Smith left the show.

I think most people consider that David Tennant gave the best portrayal of The Doctor. I am inclined to agree.
Peter Capaldi was a very likely candidate to portray him too and did so very convincingly, I thought.
I was a bit ambivalent about Matt Smith. I'd never seen him in anything before playing The Doctor and therefore it took a while to accept him in the role.
Christopher Eccleston didn't stay in the role long enough, in my opinion. I was particularly looking forward to him playing the Doctor too.
I really haven't given Jodie Whittaker sufficient attention, again, not known to me as an actor and, without wishing to appear sexist, the big step to accept a woman in the role. (As an aside, I wonder if there will ever be a female James Bond, in that regard).
There is no doubt that the scripts, the plots and the supporting actors involved added a lot of weight as to why some played the part more successfully.
Anyway, enjoy your bike ride. It truly is one of the most, if not the most, accessible and rewarding forms of exercise there is.
:)

John Pertwee or Tom Baker . Both excellent for their times .:). I have never watched any of the series since they finished .

I’m in bed listening to music and wishing I didn’t have to go to work tomorrow

Nice! :) What kind of cake?

I've finally finished work and am now ready to raid the cupboards and have a nice long soak. But first- I need to go to the shop, as I've run out of milk.

I have always wanted to try watching Doctor Who but I’m intimidsted by how long it’s been going and whether I can just start with any doctor or have go to beginning .
