I have just bought a Byron wireless bell set up with a plug in chime and a portable unit you can carry from room to room, garden etc. On eBay, and a good quality brand but a second hand return because it was a third of the retail price.
Anyway, it works fine, but I discovered the backplate to the actual bell push was missing a tiny lil clip which had broken off.
The seller obviously never noticed it and I do think that it was an honest mistake and I could have returned it as faulty, but I quickly sorted it with some 3M™ VHB™ double-sided tape (very strong adhesive).
It wasn't until I had thought about it afterwards that I realised now I will never get the backplate off again to change the battery.
Opps mebad!
