There are more libraries than supermarkets in Finland.
.
Finland is known for having a high number of libraries compared to supermarkets. The country places a strong emphasis on literacy, education, and community access to knowledge, which has resulted in a dense network of public libraries, even in smaller towns.

.
Finland's libraries are also known for being modern, well-equipped, and community-focused, making them central to Finnish culture.

The last time I had cause to visit the library was to see if I could view the electoral roll there and no, I wasn't stalking an ex, well not that time. while I was there I couldn't help noticing that very few people were actually looking at books. There were old men sitting around reading newspapers, odd bods using the computers (a few of them looked like they'd have made great forum loons) :)
