Can my original account be restored?

As my original post seems to have been deleted, I will ask again. I requested for my account to be deleted, but changed my mind. However my account was deleted anyway, regardless of me changing my mind. Is there anyway that the account can be restored?

As you've created a new account to send this message, why didn't you just create it as your former screen name ? It can be changed to that if you let me know.
