It has come to my attention that almost half of the annual household water bills we are charged is for rain water hitting the roads outside of our homes . This bill has nothing to do with what comes from out of our taps .

The water companies say this part of the bill is for drainage even though the land outside of our homes is mostly council land and under their responsibility for maintenance etc . Car users pay car tax to maintain the roads . The drainage systems have been in place for decades and been a long time paid for already by the tax payers .

Why do house owners need to pay privately if they have a blocked drain if the water companies are responsible for the drainage , shouldn't that be free by the water companies ?

It is my opinion that water companies with zero contracts are and do extort billions of pounds from the public in doing this .

Large companies exist for the sole purpose of generating profits for their shareholders at the expense of quality and value for money for the consumer. Boeing is a prime example of this.
I agree that Water companies are extorting the public, just as the other energ

Of course nobody will pay this extorsion when they find out the details and realise that it isn't even water that comes out of the taps , it is a chemical solution that potentially could cause health issues over a long duration of consumption .
