The site owner decides on the advertising on all the sites in the chat network and without advertising, none of the sites would be freely accessible. Adult advertising or any advertising on any site people log in to, can be blocked via ad blockers.

I agree with Scottslassie all of a sudden there is porn banners and extreme pornagraphic visuals. The porn that is showing is disgusting certainly puts me off coming. This will be my last visit as well.
I have software that blocks out adverts and tracking etc but it wont block out these pornographic visuals for which some are on the border of illegal. So these images are forced on us .
What's more i have security software that warns the site is dangerous and wants to track with digital fingerprinting

People come here to chat if they want porn there are other sites for that.

if you are uncomfortable with the content, reporting it through the appropriate channels is how to let the platform hosts know about the issue. Ofcom’s job is to make sure online services, like sites and apps, meet their duties to protect their users.
people have more choice and control over what they see online. Services are more transparent and can be held accountable for their actions and services protect freedom of expression. People have more choice and control over what they see!!! Maybe the people who help run this site can make members feeling known to the owners of ukchat. Just a thought instead of telling people its a free site they can put what they want on it ffs.I doubt anyone is stupid enough to click on these adds or are they.

I for one appreciate this and realise that you have a hard role to play I do not accuse or think that this is anything to do with the admin or mods on the sites and also appreciate that this has been passed on. I acknowledge that this is revenue for the site what I am saying is that it could be done better it's the cinematic sex scenes I do not like or want but hey we're only the ones using it and giving them the opportunity to advertise but if we were not here who would then be watching to bring the revenue in. The people on the sister site look for and expect it we don't look for it here yeah advertise it's the name of the game just do it differently please and ad blockers don't work on all systems and you don't accept vpn so causes problems there too. Hmmmmmmm I'm sure there is a mutual solution for both sides but do they care is more to the point. pity as this could be a great site for many and is relied on by many maybe small donations is the answer. I don't know I'm just a chatter that wants to enjoy chatting. Thanks Elwood I wish you and the mods all the luck there is . J

I currently use three ad blockers (on Firefox) and up to yesterday had no issue at all with blocking the ads. The home page and now also top of the page when I click on the various links is imbedded with hard core videos and including "anal" and similar. Someone called "Cristy" has now "sent" me so many 'videos' that I think she is possibly stalking me.

Now, I am no prude and broad-minded enough to understand that ads pay the bills, but quite frankly I do not want "anal" videos spamming my viewing content when I click on this site. I also do not want people I share my house with assuming I am watching that kind of content.

I have tried blocking that part of the page, but it blocks the whole page and I have to remove the ad blockers completely to gain access again.

The ads still appeared, however I clicked on the AdBlocker symbol, clicked on "block element" (which is second on the list) and it blocked just the ad rather than the entire page and so far it appears to be permanent.

"Cristy" had followed me to the bottom of the page too, so I blocked her there too, and I am hoping I never see her flirty arse EVER again.

Great news that the free version works as well so thats the best temporary solution for everyone. I tested the android browser version out as well which i think is free and that worked too.
